The Greeks were first to issue coins attributable to the king.
They also issued gold coins first ever in the history.


Menander-


  The  famous king of Indo-Greeks was Menander.
  He ruled about 165 BC-145 BC.

  He is also known as Milinda.
  He was converted to Buddhism by Nagasena,
  as per the Milindapanho- A Pali text.


  His Capital was Sakala ( modern Sialkot)
  Sialkot is located in Punjab.















Pali Text-


A type of text used in Indo-Greeks period.

Its specially a buddhist text.

Its purpose was to record dialogue between Nagasena and Indo-Greeks.















Buddism-

Buddhism is the 4th largest religion in the world.

Over 7% of the world's population.

Person who believe in Buddhism, called Buddhist.

All Buddhist believe in cycle of death and rebirth.

Buddhism is an Indian religion, attributed to Buddha, supposedly born Siddharta Gautama.
